Finch first started playing softball when she was just five years old. She is from La Mirada in California. Doug Finch, Jennie's father was her very first pitching instructor. Jennie began playing with the Finch Windmill as a device to strengthen and condition the arm at age 10. In high-school, she pitched six no-hitters and 13 perfect games. In college, she became a University of Arizona All-American first baseman as well as pitcher. The year 2001 was the year her Wildcats team was awarded the National Championship title In 2002, she was awarded the National Championship title. she received with the Honda Award for the best softballer of the nation. Wounded Warrior amputee softball (WWAST) is a collective of amputees with a mission to increase awareness and collect funds through shows, star softball teams and other events that highlight the courage and sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families and their ability to conquer any challenge.
